Big Idea 3: Data and Information

Data and information facilitate the creation of knowledge. You may think that they are one and the same but they are actually very different. Data is typically available in large quantities, and is made up of individual and unarguable facts. Information is created when a set of data points are combined to answer a question. Intelligence, a third category, take the data and information and uses it to tell a story, that is a forecast.
